Transparency

Man I’ve been struggling. It’s been a struggle for me to write this here blog to be honest. I’ve struggled with incorporating time for me to keep up with my blogs the way I want. I’ve been struggling with being consistent with other personal goals. I’ve just been on the struggle bus, straight riding it with no destination stop.

I recently was praying and asking God for certain things. Then I heard it clear as day “You Already Possess those things in which you’ve asked for.” So now it’s back on me. It’s time for me to Tap Into and Use the qualities God has already given me. I can be Consistent. I can be Focused. But the question still stands, will I? After praying and asking God for these qualities and coming to the realization that I already have them Will I Now Do My Part?


Sometimes we ask God for things not realizing that the very thing we’ve asked for, God has Already provided us with. But it’s up to us to utilize the tools. Time to Recognize and be Resilient. Your Destination Stop is Here, get off whichever “struggle bus” you’re on.

What happens when your image of a person Changes? I’m not talking about physically. But when the person you once knew, bonded with, share tons of memories with, still exist, still is apart of your life but yet, you feel so disconnected from the individual(s). Trials and Tribulation

I remember taking a survey for a young lady who planned to do a documentary on married women. One of the questions that was asked stood out to me; “How has prayer helped your life?” Well, that was easy for me to answer. Prayer has helped my life because it has provided a covering over my family and we hadn’t experienced many trials and tribulations. That was my answer at the time but after some reflecting, I was so wrong. We had gone through and experienced so much but what Prayer Did was Not Allow Us to Feel Defeated. That’s what prayer has done for me. It’s not that my life is perfect or that I haven’t gone through, it’s that I never felt defeated in the process. Within the last three years, I’ve been pregnant four times, given birth to three babies, lost two, and because of God’s Favor I have two amazing blessings, Jonah and Jenesis. Are we ever enough?

I honestly believe that being a mother is my greatest blessing. So why would I feel inadequate when it’s being referred to as an accomplishment of mine? Back story... My mom recently texted our family group chat informing us of a conversation she had with my seventeen year old brother. She stated how she told him that I wanted to be a garbage truck driver when I was younger as well as a lawyer, which is all true. Then she said, “but look at Jonique now, she’s a mother.” I read the text and instantly felt the need to elaborate on who I was outside of being a mom. I felt “short changed.” Really Ma, that’s all that comes to mind when you think of me? So I immediately responded and stated “yep, I’m a mother of two now, an entrepreneur (I have my J. Inspired workshops that I do at a girls group home), I have a line of J. Inspired t-shirts that I released, and seminars in the work.
