One Day at a Time

My husband and I had a conversation a while back (stemmed from some emotions I was trying to deal with). But I remember telling him that I’m a “glass half empty” kind of girl. He sounded a bit disappointed and replied that he sees the glass half full. I smiled knowing that there was no way I was going to get off of the phone with him without the reassurance I needed in that moment. There’s so much going on in the world and even more in our own personal lives. We have to make decisions every day rather hard or easy, right or left, steak or chicken. It helps to be as optimistic as possible, though we can’t control everything, we can always control our reactions and thoughts. I’m a person that can get in my own head a lot. So for me, it’s saying a prayer, taking a breather, and even expressing those thoughts. I’ve learned to take things one day at a time and not get frustrated about what I did Not accomplish that day because there’s a tomorrow.

No sense in being hard on yourself, there are enough people who are going to do that for you. People are always going to have thoughts, opinions, criticism, and their own story about who you are. Love on yourself, do what feels right in your heart, respect yourself, and know you may not always get it right the first time around but God blesses us with chances. So right your wrongs, create healthy routines, and be open minded enough to go with the flow.

Be the greatest you,
J. Renee

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 6:34
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own
