'Livin My Best Life

‘Livin My Best Life". This is 2018’s and 19’s quote to live by right? Every time I blink my eyes, someone was quoting this.“ I don’t have time for this cause I’m just trying to live my best life.” “Girl, you better c’mon and go, you have to live your best life.” Is this not what we have been trying to do all along? Are people really just now implementing this into their lives? I mean the actions behind the words to insure that they’re taking the steps to live their fullest potential or is this just another fad that will later die out at the end of year? I guess it determines on one’s personal meaning of living their best life. For some, I’ve learned that it meant protecting their energy and getting rid of the negativity for others it meant being “lit” and capitalizing on fun opportunities.

Either way, my hope is that we as a people come to the realization that “living my best life” can be viewed in different ways based on the individual. 2018 was a year of love, of acceptance, of growth, of strength, of a bunch of emotions, of accomplishments, of a lot of self reflection (still is), and identifying that my life isn’t always on the same course as that of my friends. That part was kind of sucky and an adjustment. But I truly learned that sometimes, you aren’t going to be in the same place spiritually, emotionally, nor physically, and that’s OKAY. In 2019 things have come full circle for me. You do what you can, when you can, and keep going. So for those who are “livin their best lives”, I hope there is more in depth action behind the words. I hope you aren’t just being a part of fad but that you’re adding substance to yourself being.

Be the best you,
J. Renee

1 Peter 1:13-16 – "Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."

NLT
So think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world
