I’ve recently been struggling between using my right to say NO and being a blessing to others when I’m able to. Have you ever been asked to do a favor for someone and though you were very capable of doing the favor, you wanted to say NO because it may not have been the most convenient time for you? Or, you wanted to say no because they asked you to do something last minute and it required your immediate attention? I’m big on being considerate of my time. Even if I have Nothing planned to do, the specific day that the favor is asked, that’s what I planned to do, Nothing. So when I’m asked to do a favor and it requires my actions immediately I’m sometimes frustrated about it; though majority of the time I say yes and oblige. I think it’s important to be conscious of what we ask of people and when we ask. The saying goes “do unto others as you want done unto you” let’s all be more mindful.
